For many, many weeks now it has been reserved for the courtroom, but for probably the first time ever, silence has gripped the whole of High Octane Wrestling.
It seems that the recent spell at the government's leisure and expense has done nothing to slow down or quell the ideas of Lee Best. In a surprising announcement, he revealed that a silent auction would take place, wherein anyone from the roster - or outside of it - could place a bid for the chance at a top prize.
And what that top prize be?
None other than to captain your very own War Games team.
Anybody who knows and follows HOW should know how big an opportunity this is. Seeing as the rules dictate that nobody can eliminate a member of their own team, should two members of the same alliance be left at the end, then the captain chooses the winner....and, as seen in the past, the new HOW World Champion.
Something that should not be taken lightly, given the last two War Games have ended in pretty much those stale mates:
Although no championship was on the line, last year saw two members of Team Best, Aceldama and Shane Reynolds, left standing after eliminating Max Kael.
And the year before that saw Bobbinette Carey and Shane Reynolds left standing after the latter eliminated Maximillian Kael....before Team Captain, Bobbinette, chose herself as the new World Champion on the next show.
So with those huge potential advantage, just which superstars can we be expecting to make those all important bids, and come out with the highest overall?
While rumours suggest such superstars as Erites Kallisten and Maximillian Kael, who have been known in the past to make substantial donations, High Octane Television has heard from reliable sources that neither will be taking part.
Could it be Aceldama, known also for some generous contributions?
Bobbinette Carey, looking to regain the title via past, successful methods?
Simon Sparrow?
Mike Polowy?
Kirsta Lewis?
Or somebody from outside of High Octane Wrestling altogether?
With all of these, and may more besides, the possibilities could be considered endless. But with the deadline for bids lurking only hours away, and with the announcement to be made very soon after, we at High Octane Television are on the edge of our seats.
Check back for updates....as and when we get them.
