On the heels of one of the most shocking nights in Turmoil history, the staff here at HOWrestling.com has gotten off to an early start this morning as the aftermath from the show unfolds and new rumors begin to develop.
Perhaps the biggest news from last night's show came via the returning "God of HOW", Lee Best, who not only injected some life into the entire High Octane locker room, but made an important announcement as it pertains to an upcoming HOW pay-per-view. And no, it wasn't about March 2 Glory... it was in regard to War Games as Lee announced the first of TWO War Games captains to be none other than Aceldama.
While we're in the midst of confirming all the details, we do know that Aceldama's bid in the roster's silent auction was enough to give him a serious advantage in reclaiming the HOW World championship. We also know that the coveted gold is the furthest thing from his mind right now as he continues to lead his Der Austand faction with his "Uprising" against America. At this time, we can only speculate as to who will be named the other captain, but we can also give you some logical names that have surfaced in various wrestling rags across the web in the form of Graystone, Kostoff, Triple P, and Christopher America - who might be considered a surprise mention given his unfortunate standing as Ethan Cavanaugh's slave.
Of course, there's been other talk as well, but none more so than over the Best Invitational and the Main Event match at March 2 Glory.
Last night on Turmoil, we all got one step closer to determining Mario Maruako's challenger for the World title as 3 prevailing finalists emerged from the tournament in ICON champion Max Kael, Ethan Cavanaugh, and Scottywood. As the overwhelming favorite from the outset of the tournament, the question remains if Kael can continue his dominant run. The same holds true for Scottywood as well, who has been just as hot as of late and will also be looking to shed his infamous "Pottywood" stigma in his bid to become the next World champion.
Those questions will be answered next week in the highly anticipated Triple Threat Finale, but not to be forgotten from that match, there's a rumor going around here at HOWrestling.com revolving around Ethan Cavanaugh. Word has it that Ethan has something up his sleeve that will outsmart BOTH the Emperor of HOW and "Hardcore Artist". With this in mind on top of a convincing victory over Griffin Faze, is it really possible that Ethan could be the new favorite?
And speaking of Griffin Faze, the rookie was visibly distraught last night after seeing his Invitational hopes come to an end. But apparently, that was the least of his worries because as we speak, HOWrestling.com is receiving full exclusive details of a phone call he received right before his match, which may in fact, have affected the outcome.
Stay tuned for that story and more later today as we continue to update you on the latest relevations heading into March 2 Glory.
